Rates

I can’t apply a single per-word rate to every project—each brief is different. Pricing depends on many factors: subject-matter difficulty, deadline, file format, client type, etc. After reviewing your files, we can agree on per-word or hourly billing.

Machine translation with custom models
For most projects I use custom Microsoft MT models trained on my specializations. This lets me offer competitive prices and tighter turnarounds. The exact rate depends on the quality the model achieves for your content.

Large volumes
Unlike many translators, I lower my rates for long assignments. Productivity improves on longer documents thanks to economies of scale and intensive use of CAT tools. See: Why I offer volume discounts.

Repetitions
For repeated text—within the current job or from previous projects—I apply a 70% discount on repeated segments (you pay 30%). Even identical sentences can shift meaning by context, and formatting/QA still take time. See: Repetition discounts.

Minimum fee
€10 (plus VAT) per job, irrespective of length. See: Minimum fee.

Turnaround
Typical capacity: up to 5,000 words/day per client. In special cases I can take on more, subject to conditions. On-time delivery rate >99.9%.
If I miss an agreed deadline, I’ll apply a 25% discount (force majeure duly justified excluded).

Invoicing
Net 30 from invoice receipt. For large volumes or new clients, I may request interim payments; terms will be agreed in advance.

Payment methods
Bank transfer within the EEA; PayPal for other countries.

Confidentiality
I guarantee strict confidentiality over all data, sources, software, analyses and documents received. I never subcontract, always use secure internet connections, and never print client documents (the environment thanks us). See: Confidentiality.
